Construction

  1. Conductor
    • IEC 60228 specifies four different classes of conductors; class-2. control cables normally have conductors of class 1 (solid conductors) or class 2 (stranded conductors).
    • Conductor forms: circular solid, circular stranded, sector shaped solid, sector shaped stranded
  2. Insulation – The insulation materials for control cables are PVC / XLPE colors red, Yellow, Blue & Black.
  3. Inner Sheath – PVC Type ST2 as per IS 5831 Option FR Type.
  4. Armouring – Single layer of Galvanizing steel round wire/flat strip. If required
  5. Outer Sheathing – PVC Type ST-2 asper IS 5831
